ilent/sʌɪlənt/ + Textual/tɛkstjʊəl/:
Defines the exhibition that is pausing on the idea of textual language in artworks. But the textual language is in the state of becoming…how can I pause; Usually words lose their references but when the words lose their references they can found another meaning. They can become silent, and translate themselves as something else. The SilenTextual exhibition it continues by representing these artworks as something that is more than the sum of its parts.
It’s not anymore something pedagogic where people can read! It’s beyond that…People can translate it as;
a sound, an image, an object, an artwork…or…;
It’s the soundless dialogue of the artist’s works and methodologies.
In this exhibition journey, the artworks have the potential to ‘speak’ with each other. ‘Artworks’ challenging the viewer to rethink, to dis-joint / dis-locate. From what; from the known, the already known… to see the unseen… An answer; But the whole purpose of art is not answering the viewers questions but it gives them the means to answer this particular questions. As in here…
3 artists invite (you) to interpose and to become from non-acting to an acting viewer. But remember! The textual language is still in the state of alternativeness. An active viewer can continue artist’s ideas, and drawn something else, through the materials that are available to anyone…
Viewer interpretations can change the way that these artworks have been presented...so I am challenging you to continue…
